Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2016 Montlandrie opens with pretty notes of rose hips, lavender and cinnamon sticks over a core of baked plum and spicecake and a hint of field soil. Medium-bodied, it has a chewy texture and plenty of freshness framing the youthful spiced plum flavors, finishing on a lingering savory note.
