The 2016 Puy-Blanquet is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The nose shows black cherries, warm red currants and black plum jam with hints of stewed tea, tobacco and bay leaves. The palate is medium-bodied with a pleasant chewiness to the texture and lots of earthy red and black fruits, finishing with a peppery note.
