The Puy-Blanquet 2016 consists of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. On the nose, it shows black cherry, warm red currant and black plum jam with hints of stewed tea, tobacco and bay leaf. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a pleasantly chewy texture and lots of earthy red and black fruits, finishing with a peppery note.
