The first impression on the nose is earthy with notes of cypress, vanilla pod and spices. There are deep fruit aromas of black cherries, plums and blueberries, followed by pleasant notes of chocolate and dried rose petals. On the palate, the tannins are powerful and are accompanied by a lively acidity that contributes to a long finish dominated by flavors of dried figs and licorice.
