The 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Hommage à Jacques Perrin is another outstanding vintage for this wine, packed with mulberry and blueberry fruit accompanied by notes of star anise, cardamom, cinnamon and allspice. Full-bodied, rich, velvety and long on the finish, it's perhaps not quite as certain at this stage to hit the century mark as the outstanding 2018, but I wouldn't rule it out. This really is a great wine.
