2017 Quintessa Red

Already bottled, the 2017 Quintessa shows a deep garnet-purple color. The nose needs a bit of coaxing before revealing bold, expressive notes of crushed red and black plums, black currant jelly, wild blueberries and kirsch with nuances of camphor, clove, cedar and lilac and a hint of oolong tea. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has beautifully expressed, elegant layers of red and black fruit, with a robust, grainy frame and plenty of freshness, finishing long and earthy.
