The wine has a strong color and an assertive nose with notes of espresso, liquorice, cocoa, black cherry and smoke. It is concentrated, full-bodied, ripe, round, opulent and fruity. On the palate, it has plenty of drive, energy and length, with sweet, dark fruit, licorice, oak and chocolate on the luscious finish. The wine was made from a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.
