2018 Clinet

Château Clinet 2018 contains slightly more Cabernet Sauvignon than usual and consists of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 75% of which was aged in new French oak. It is one of the superstars of the vintage and is characterized by incredible elegance and finesse as well as great richness and depth. Notes of cassis and truffly dark fruits as well as tobacco, damp earth, chocolate and pencil shavings rise from the glass, and it is full-bodied, with a seamless, multi-dimensional texture, gorgeous tannins and a great, great finish. Already offering incredible pleasure now, it will not reach maturity for another 5-7 years and should develop for another 30 years or more. This magical wine is in the same league as the 2015s and 2016s, and it will be an incredible pleasure to drink these beauties for decades to come.
