2018 Le Dôme

It has a deep garnet-purple color and is somewhat reserved at first. It needs to be coaxed well to allow the aromas of earth, rosehip tea, preserved plums and raspberry pie to develop, which then fade into notes of pencil shavings, wood smoke and camphor. Full-bodied, firm and fine-grained, the deep palate is enlivened by energetic mineral and red fruit notes, framed by firm, fine-grained tannins and just enough acidity to enliven the very long, very fragrant finish.
