The 2019 Domaine De L'A, from one of my favorite estates in the Castillon region, shows a medium ruby color and a brilliant palette of red and black currants, tobacco leaf, sandalwood and loamy earth, with the classic savory minerality that always seems to show up in this appellation. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, seamless, perfectly balanced, with superb tannins and a great finish. As I have written about previous vintages, it is not to be missed. It will develop over two decades.
