2021 Grüner Veltliner monastery set

The Klostersatz vineyard in Oberloiben is located in the plain below the Kellerberg and Schütt sites and consists of eroded primary rock with brown earth and Danube sand. This Veltliner is matured in steel tanks, but remains on the lees until shortly before bottling.
Melon, mirabelle plums, agave and woodruff on the nose, with a hint of exoticism and pink pepper, dusty and smoky. A juicy texture on the palate, fine melting and fine spice (pepper), green tea and mirabelle plums, white minerality, good acidity for the variety, powerful and elegant on the finish.
