2021 Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Superiore

The aromas of wild berries and roasted aromas describe an authentic Ripasso. The taste has a fine melting texture with beautiful length and a semi-dry finish.

Unlike the traditional Valpolicella, the Ripasso version is powerful, expressive and full-bodied. It reveals aromas of ripe, preserved wild berries, redcurrants and a spiciness characterized by roasted aromas. These aromas return on the palate and are supported by hints of bitter chocolate and cedar wood. The body of the Valpolicella Ripasso lingers on the palate for a long time, leaving behind a silky tannin and a subtle fruity sweetness.

Grape variety: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara

Maturation: Addition of unpressed Amarone skins to the Valpolicella must, 12 months in barriques.
